WASHINGTON, – The United States has laid out a battle plan to retake the Iraqi city of Mosul in an April-to-May time frame, using some 20,000 to 25,000 Iraqi troops who currently are being trained, a highly unusual disclosure that one intelligence source told is “pure lunacy.”

In a teleconference with reporters at the Pentagon, a U.S. Central Command official said brigades of Iraqis along with Kurdish peshmerga forces and Sunni militia will seek to take back Iraq’s second largest city from ISIS, which has held it since June.

Verse 25 of the Impeachment song: Climate change and the end of Capitalism.

Christiana Figueres, the executive secretary of the United Nation’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, recently made a devastating admission… the goal of environmental activism is not to save the world from terrifying environmental calamity, but to end capitalism.

“This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution,” she said.

Referring to a new international treaty environmentalists hope will be adopted at the Paris climate change conference later this year, she added: “This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model for the first time in human history.”

Verse 24 of the Impeachment song: Conference on violent extremism.

The White House on Feb 17 began hosting a three-day summit to examine ways to counter violent extremism.

The meeting put a special emphasis on domestic and international efforts to prevent extremists and their backers from radicalizing young people.

The conference, which has been in the works for months, came just days after fighters with the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) executed 21 Egyptians and terrorist attacks in Copenhagen left three people dead including the radicalized Islamic terrorist.

President Obama addressed the summit twice, which included representatives from more than 60 countries, during events at the White House and at the State Department. There were delegates from the most repressive authoritarian regimes, representatives from Russian counterpart to FBI, but not our own FBI

Gunfire at a debate at the Cultural Center “The Powder Keg” in Copenhagen. Subject: “Blasphemy and Freedom of Speech”.

Gunfire in Copenhagen art debate featuring the theme “Blasphemy and freedom of speech”. The featured speaker was to be the Swedish Cartoonist Lars Vilks, famous for his Muhammad Cartoons. The gunfire started before he was to speak.

First a background on Denmark and its people:

The Danes, a friendly people are hard to impress and hard to scare. Lately, they too have had to take in their fair share, (as defined by EU) of Muslim refugees and immigrants. The Danes decided to distribute them evenly across the country and thus they would be absorbed into Danish culture in no time. After all, they had successfully assimilated even the Gypsy. However in mid 2000 they experienced a few honor killings in their peaceful country, since some young women sought to assimilate into Danish Culture. The Danish judicial system decided to apply Danish law on the perpetrators and everyone associated with one honor killing got long prison terms, including the taxi driver who provided the getaway car. The Danish newspaper Jyllandsposten gave it maximum publicity. This didn’t sit well with the Muslim Imams, so they complained and threatened them, telling them to stop writing evil of our sense of honor or else. The newspaper editors responded with a competition who could produce the best Muhammad cartoons, and so in 2007, slowly at first, but the religion of peace activists grew angrier and angrier and a total of about 93 people were killed worldwide. The results linger as we saw in Paris lately.

Now back to the Cultural center “Krudttønden” (The Powder Keg) in Copenhagen.

One person is dead, a 55-year-old male, film director Finn Norgaard. 3 policemen wounded, none life threatening.

Two armed gunmen opened fire at the attendees of the debate, one gaining entrance through the kitchen, and the other shooting from the outside through the windows.

About 30 shots were fired from automatic weapons, more powerful than the police weapons

The getaway car, a stolen VW Polo was found a few blocks away but the gunmen, described as “Of Mideastern Descent” are still at large.

Update:

There is since 2007 a Fatwa on Lars Vilks, and a $100000 reward for his death.

There were 40 shots at the Culture Center.

They now think there was only one gunman at the culture center, not two as first reported

The first shooting at around 4:p.m. local time.

There has been a second shooting outside the Jewish Synagogue on Krystalgade in Central Copenhagen about 12:45 a.m. Monday, three people wounded, including 2 policemen, one shot in his head, the policemen with flesh wounds.

There also may be a shooting at the Norreport Metro Station, two blocks from the Synagogue.

The person killed outside the synagogue, 37 year old Dan Uzan was standing guard safeguarding a Bat Mitzvah (coming of age for 12 year old Jewish girls). He was a member of the Synagogue.

After a shootout the perpetrator, 22-year-old Omar Abdel Hamid El-Hussein,a person on the police watch-list was killed by the police.

A second arrest has been made, reason unknown.

Jan 20: U.S. officials told NBC News late Monday that they don’t plan to evacuate the American embassy in Yemen’s capital, where government soldiers and Shiite rebels fought near the presidential palace and a military before agreeing to a cease-fire.

The rebels seized Yemen state television and its official SABA news agency, Information Minister Nadia Sakkaf told The Associated Press. Nine people were killed and 67 injured in the fighting in Sanaa.

“This is a step toward a coup and it is targeting the state’s legitimacy,” Sakkaf told AP.

But the two sides agreed to a cease-fire after holding day-long negotiations, on Monday.

The strife comes as the U.S. and its allies fight al Qaeda’s Yemeni operation, which said it was responsible for the Jan. 7 attack on a Paris-based satirical magazine in which 13 people were killed.

There was no imminent threat to Americans inside the embassy, U.S. military officials said. It would be “more likely and safer” for any Americans to leave the capital of Sana’a on a commercial flight, said one senior U.S. official, who noted that the military had not stepped up its alert level.

Feb 11: Yemen the model of American Diplomacy took over the Embassy as the State Dept evacuated all US personnel – including the US MARINE GUARDS who were ordered by State Dept to destroy any and all weapons – including personal weapons before being allowed to leave the country – on a commercial flight .

So individuals had to abandon the Marine Code of NEVER GIVE UP YOUR WEAPON – under orders from State Dept –

Obama seems to have a far reaching hand in the demoralization of the US – with this being the latest .

The rebel group who ordered the US out of the embassy says they will respect the US property now under their control including 20 vehicles left behind with their engines running – which they are only borrowing to use “temporarily.”

Trouble ahead. The Baltic Dry Index hit a fourth time all time low. 2/19 at 509.

This morning (Feb 12) the Baltic Dry Index hit an all time low at 553. The previous low of 554 was set on Aug 6 1985. What is the BDI you say?

The BDI is a very leading indicator signaling future guesses on the amount of shipping of dry freight that are to be conducted in the future. It is very volatile as we can see from these charts with a high of nearly 12000 in the spring of 2008 and dropping to about 700 a couple of months before the crash of 2008.

The new low of 553 signals major trouble ahead.

A hint is in the Chinese trade balance for Jan 2015.

China Posts Highest Trade Surplus on Record in January.

China reported a USD 60 billion trade surplus in January of 2015 compared with a USD 31.86 billion surplus a year earlier as imports fell at a faster pace than exports.

In January, imports dropped by 19.9 percent toCNY 860 billion year-on-year (approximately USD 140 billion) with imports from US down 9.3 percentExports unexpectedly declined by 3.3 percent to CNY 1.23 trillion (approximately USD 200 billion), but exports to the US rose 4.9 percent.

Since the Lunar New Year typically falls in January or February, the country’s trade figure in early year often considered as volatile, due to companies rushing to fill orders ahead of holidays. What is doubly troubling is that this year the Chinese new year fell in February. Last year it fell in January, so the declines are doubly troubling.

There is trouble ahead.

Obama’s Jihad against the Crusades, the Inquisition and Jim Crow laws. A Limerick.

Obama has made his decision:

Blame Christ for the great Inquisition,

But “the Prophet” is pure

and Islam is the cure.

His worldview? A Caliphate vision.

President Obama tipped his hand at the Presidential prayer breakfast last Thursday.

To be fair to the President I will quote him in context:

“We see faith driving us to do right.

But we also see faith being twisted and distorted, used as a wedge — or, worse, sometimes used as a weapon. From a school in Pakistan to the streets of Paris, we have seen violence and terror perpetrated by those who profess to stand up for faith, their faith, professed to stand up for Islam, but, in fact, are betraying it. We see ISIL, a brutal, vicious death cult that, in the name of religion, carries out unspeakable acts of barbarism — terrorizing religious minorities like the Yezidis, subjecting women to rape as a weapon of war, and claiming the mantle of religious authority for such actions.

We see sectarian war in Syria, the murder of Muslims and Christians in Nigeria, religious war in the Central African Republic, a rising tide of antisemitism and hate crimes in Europe, so often perpetrated in the name of religion.

So how do we, as people of faith, reconcile these realities — the profound good, the strength, the tenacity, the compassion and love that can flow from all of our faiths, operating alongside those who seek to hijack religious for their own murderous ends?

Humanity has been grappling with these questions throughout human history. And lest we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ. Michelle and I returned from India — an incredible, beautiful country, full of magnificent diversity — but a place where, in past years, religious faiths of all types have, on occasion, been targeted by other Peoples of faith, simply due to their heritage and their beliefs — acts of intolerance that would have shocked Gandhi, the person who helped to liberate that nation.”

Why is that offensive?.

He says violence in the name of religion is to blame, and the only examples he can come up with are age old atrocities done in the name of Christ, but fails to give examples of atrocities done by Radical Islam. In fact he has never used that term, preferring to call it workplace violence or extremism in general.

On slavery in the U.S. it was Abraham Lincoln, a Republican that championed its abolishment.

On Jim Crow laws, it was the nearly exclusive domain of the Democrat party. The Democrat Party identified itself as the “white man’s party” and demonized the Republican Party as being “Negro dominated,” even though whites were in control. Based on Obama’s logic, he and the Democrats should never cease to apologize to the blacks and to the Republican Party.

On violence in the name of Islam is betraying it:

Number of non-Muslims killed since 602 A.D. Between 200 and 400 million. Of these are about 100 million slaves from sub-Saharan Africa that died during their march from their home to the Mediterranean.

Number of Muslims killed by Muslim Governments from 632 to 1945: About 40 million

Number of Muslims killed by Muslim Governments since 1945: About 12 million and rising (Pakistan and Sudan (Darfur) come to mind.

On the Crusades: Obama gives the ISIS propaganda line calling us “The Crusaders”. The truth is that the Crusades were largely in response to relentless Muslim aggression:

The first Crusade began in 1095 after centuries of church burnings, killings, enslavement and forced conversions of Christians…

460 years after the first Christian city was overrun by Muslim armies

457 years after Jerusalem was conquered by Muslim armies

453 years after Muslims first plundered Italy

427 years after Muslim armies first laid siege to the Christian capital of Constantinople

380 years after France was first attacked by Muslim armies

249 years after the capital of the Catholic world, Rome itself, was sacked by a Muslim army

By the time the Crusades finally began, Muslim armies had conquered two thirds of the Christian World.

On the Inquisition: Total trials: 44674. Conviction rate 1.8% or about 800. About as many convicted in absentia and never executed. Jews were expelled, not executed. Muslims were expelled. The total number of executions performed in all Inquisitions, about 2200.

Obama mentions the genocide of the Yezidis but omits the genocide of Christians, which in much larger.

On Slavery: Muhammad was a slave trader. Mauritania abolished slavery in 2007, Saudi Arabia in the 1950’s. Slaves taken under Muslim rulers, well in excess of 100 million. Slaves taken by Europeans: less than 4 million.

On September 1 2014 Egypt’s largest newspaper claimed on its front page that Obama is a full fledged member of the Muslim Brotherhood.

That was in September. It received very little media attention. It is now 2015.

The Muslim Brotherhood called for “a long, uncompromising jihad” in Egypt just days after a delegation of the Islamist group’s key leaders and allies met with the State Department, according to an official statement released last week.

While the President himself did not attend (as far as we know) the State Department meeting was attended by a deputy assistant secretary for democracy, human rights, and labor and other State Department officials.

The Muslim Brotherhood statement also was issued just two days before a major terror attack Thursday Jan 29 in Egypt’s lawless Sinai region that killed at least 25.

“It is incumbent upon everyone to be aware that we are in the process of a new phase, where we summon what is latent in our strength, where we recall the meanings of jihad and prepare ourselves, our wives, our sons, our daughters, and whoever marched on our path to a long, uncompromising jihad, and during this stage we ask for martyrdom,” the statement from the Muslim Brotherhood reads.

Then February 4 2015 the President met with Muslim leaders in the East Room of the White House, off limit to reporters. We are not to know the content of the President’s message, only that it is none of our business, neither are we to know who attended the meeting, “since they are private citizens and their privacy needs to be protected”.

This does not pass the smell test.
