CO2 reductions to solve Climate change? Wrong solution for the world. A Limerick.

CO2 is what makes the world green.

The White House Aug 3 announced a target of 32% reduction in CO2 emission from U.S. power plants by 2030. This is a target that no existing Coal fired power plant can meet, only natural gas fired power plants. He also proposed a 70% reduction in emissions other than CO2, which has its merits.

Obama may yet succeed in his campaign promise: “Under my plan the electricity rates will necessarily skyrocket.”

Obama wants us to have as expensive electricity as Denmark and Germany, the two countries with the most wind and solar power per capita.

Us is (was?) an outlier with cheap and abundant fossil fuel and low fuel taxes.

Australia is an outlier, They are paying for implementing a carbon tax.

The President said in his announcement that last year was the warmest on record and that fourteen of the fifteen warmest years occurred in this century.

Another way of looking at the temperature record is: Last year was still one of the 700 coldest in the last 10000 years. See fig: We have now had over ten years since the last major hurricane hit the U.S. mainland. A new record.

A majority of people are worried about GMO food. Yet we all eat it, knowing or not. The modification gene in this rice is taken from a gene in barley. It works by producing more starch instead of more roots. Test plantings in China yielded 90% reduction in Methane production compared to unmodified rice.

One possible downside: Less roots may mean less minerals absorbed, and more starch may mean less protein as a percentage of the rice.

The U.S. economy shrank by 0.7% in first quarter due to lack of Global Warming. A Limerick.

The U.S. economy shrank by 0.7 in the first quarter of 2015 as harsh weather dampened consumer spending and energy companies struggling with low prices slashed spending.

Gross domestic product contracted at a 0.7% percent annual rate, the Commerce Department said Thursday, coming dangerously close to a recession. That was a big step down from the fourth quarter’s 2.2 percent rise and does not bode well for the rest of the year.

This winter’s cold Climate Disruption

CO2 concentration has increased from about 280 ppm in pre-industrial times to over 400 ppm today, and is increasing at a rate of 2 ppm per year. We are way past the point of no return, 350 ppm which would lead to a temperature catastrophe. But instead, something rather interesting is occurring. The earth is getting greener! This 40 % increase in CO2 the last 250 years has led to a more than 30 % increase in agricultural production all by itself without adding fertilizer or using higher yielding seeds. Thanks to this we can now feed an additional two billion people on earth without starvation. The news are so good, that the per capita food production is increasing, even as the population is increasing.

Look at it this way. The value of basic agricultural products is more than 1.5 trillion dollars worldwide. 30% of that is due to increased CO2. That means that the CO2 emitted is worth 450 billion dollars, spread out over all farmers and ranchers worldwide. This wealth transfer is occurring right now, and knows no national boundary. It is a gift from the developed countries to the rest of the world. Who could be against that?

It turns out that this wealth transfer occurs without global governance. The leaders of the world will not have their say in who gets the wealth transfer, the U.N. bureaucrats will not get their cut, and politicians cannot get a campaign issue since it occurs without their involvement.

A trip down memory lane from Geneva March 2009.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton opened her first extended talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov by giving him a present meant to symbolize the Obama administration’s vow to “press the reset button” on U.S.-Russia relations.

She handed a palm-sized box wrapped with a bow. Lavrov opened it and pulled out the gift: a red button on a black base with a Russian word peregruzka printed on top.

“We worked hard to get the right Russian word. Do you think we got it?” Clinton asked.

“You got it wrong,” Lavrov said.

Instead of “reset,” Lavrov said the word on the box meant “overcharge.”

Clinton and Lavrov laughed.

“We won’t let you do that to us,” she said.

It doesn’t say ПЕРЕГРУЗКА on the button, it says PEREGRUZKA. The mistranslation is bad enough, but using Roman letters instead of Cyrillic? What was going on? Didn’t anyone realize they use a different alphabet over there? There are two possible explanations: Ignorance, or arrogance on the part of the Hillary Clinton State Department. I know Hillary Clinton has demonstrated plenty of both in statements such as: “What difference does it make?”

How has this reset worked out for us? Besides Iran, Syria, Turkey, Hezbollah, Libya, Pakistan, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria and many other countries where U.S. and Russia have opposing interests, and Poland where we plainly sold out the missile defense, we are in a pickle on two fronts:

1. Space exploration.

Since Obama made it NASA’s highest priority to promote the contributions of Islam to science and the scrapping of the space shuttle program with no replacements in sight we are totally dependent on Russia to ferry our astronaut scientists to and from the space station.

Russia is doing the rational thing: Tripling the fees from $22 million to $71 million to transport just one American astronaut to the International Space Station (ISS) aboard its Soyuz spacecraft in 2016. –

2. Uranium. By selling 20% of our Uranium to Russia via a Canadian Corporation in exchange for a large donation to the Clinton Foundation and a half million dollar speaking fee for Bill Clinton, this has left us vulnerable to extortion, since we are a net importer of Uranium for our electricity production. National security is at risk.

Maybe Hillary really meant “Overcharge” instead of reset? Hillary, as well as Obama seem to love to give money to our adversaries instead of caring about our economy at home.

New Chemical Element discovered, Hillarium.

Abstract:

Thanks to excellent original research by Dr. William DeBuvitz , a now retired physics professor at Middlesex County College in Edison, New Jersey, published in the Jan. 1989 edition of “The Physic Teacher “under the heading of “New Chemical Element Discovered” his findings of the new element Administratium.
It is with great satisfaction this author’s is able to report significant progress in this field of research. While analyzing Administratium and its toxic residue wherever it was found it was possible to identify an even denser element, named Washingtonium. A small, initially insignificant amount of what was believed to be just another isotope of Washingtonium has now been isolated, and has been found to be the densest element known to science. The new element has been named Hillarium. The chemical symbol of Hillarium is Hl (pronounced Hell).
Hillarium has no protons or electrons and thus has an atomic number of 0. However, it does have one neutron, 125 assistant neutrons, 75 vice neutrons and 111 assistant vice neutrons, which gives it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together by a force that involves the continuous exchange of meson-like particles called morons and hangons.
Hillarium’s mass actually increases over time, as morons randomly interact with hangons and become assistant deputy neutrons within the Hillarium molecule, leading to the formation of isodopes. This characteristic of moron-promotion leads some scientists to believe that Hillarium is formed whenever morons reach a certain quantity in concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as a Critical Morass. When catalyzed with money, Hillarium activates CNNadnausium and MSNBCobnoxium, elements that radiates orders of magnitude more energy, albeit as incoherent noise, since each has half as many peons but twice as many morons as Hillarium. Hillarium has also been reported in some war torn countries to inexplicably draw sniper fire out of thin air where no snipers are present, and to cause shoes to catapult across the room as a result of intense attraction to Hillarium. Another odd characteristic of Hillarium is that it causes permanent records to be erased.
Since it has no electrons, Hillarium is inert. However, it can be detected chemically as it impedes every reaction it comes in contact with. According to the discoverers, a minute amount of Hillarium causes one reaction to take over four days to complete when it would have normally occurred in less than a second. Paradoxically, in the presence of anti-morons, Hillarium is highly corrosive. The presence of Hillarium is also easily detected using Gagger Counters. When combined with the deadly slick clintonious virus it serves as a catalyst for creating stains on blue dresses. It is also known for impeding the justice process whenever involved in those reactions.
Hillarium appears to have a normal half-life which inexplicably varies between four and six years, at which time it does not decay, but instead undergoes a transmutation, appearing in a new location but displaying the same properties. In this process, assistant neutrons, vice neutrons and assistant vice neutrons exchange places. Some studies have shown that the atomic mass actually increases after each transmutation.
Research at other laboratories indicates that Hillarium occurs naturally in the atmosphere. It tends to concentrate at certain points such as government agencies, large corporations, and universities. It can usually be found in the newest, best appointed, and best maintained buildings. Heightened levels of toxicity have been detected in the presence of low information voters. A single spontaneous incidence of mass moron emission from the Hillarium element has been documented. Morons and hangons were suddenly stripped away during the Obala Supernova formation event which, with subsequent isodope formation, collapsed into a particularly small dense black hole.
Scientists point out that Hillarium is known to be toxic at any level of concentration and can easily destroy any productive reaction where it is allowed to accumulate. Human mortalities have resulted from exposure to Hillarium. Hillarium threatens to become a pandemic by 2016. Infection symptoms need to be more thoroughly researched, but appear to include a loss of all logical and critical thinking abilities, extensive memory loss related to crucial issues, loss of all consideration for others, onset of paranoia and conspiracy theory predilections (commonly heard are protestations of a “vast right wing conspiracy” and a “War on Women” ), and, of course, the already noted tendency towards fatalities.
Generous use of prophylactic doses of Intense Reality® as soon as possible after possible exposure to Hillarium is a prudent and wise precaution. Large doses of Fiscal and Constitutional Conservatism may be particularly useful. Encourage all your friends and family to take similar precautions, and vote for candidates in 2016 who will work to protect us from the possible scourge of a Hillarium pandemic.
Intense research, going through 30000+ emails indicates the best anti-dote is Palinium. It has the property of total transparency and indestructibility in its crystal clear form, and as such radiates energy, causing morons and hangons to explode.
Another element, Cruzite, shows promise, but all research so far assumes non-Gruberian Statistics. Experimental validation is currently underway in nation-wide trials. Attempts are being made to determine how Hillarium can be controlled to prevent irreversible damage, but results to date are not promising.
Palinium can only be found in Alaska, and present administration has prohibited most extraction of resources from that state. The best future path for research would be involving Hillarium to come in direct contact with Palinium in the form of exchange of energy in a public forum (to prevent spontaneous combustion of Hillarium). Proper observation of results from such an interaction may lead to Hillarium being controlled, and even eliminated.

A: Research results are inclusive to date. Recent indications suggest that more significant decay may have occurred than generally realized, so future effects are expected to decline..
Q: Are there any know uses for Hillarium? I’ve spent quite some time looking and have yet to find any.
A: No useful or beneficial applications of Hillarium have been discovered to date, although a few researchers are determined to find some and continue trying, as long as funding continues.
Q: What about decay products?
A: There is one known decay product of Hillarium – the daughter product Chelserite. While research on Chelserite is limited, indications suggest highly diluted but otherwise identical properties as Hillarium.
Q: What about Obamadopes?
A: Obamadopes are isomopes of the Obala molecule and should not be confused with Hillarium. While Obamadopes fall adjacent to but just slightly to the left of Hillarium on the period table — thus having somewhat similar properties — they are derivative products of a separate element although the two are often confused by the layman. When Obamadopes first encounter Hillarium, highly competitive reactions may occur. In combination, however, they often exacerbate the detrimental actions of the other, and lead to a highly toxic fallout.
Obamadopes typically form a collective until a Critical Morass is achieved, at which point instability arises and the negatively charged components split resulting in the destruction of the Obamadope itself and everything in the vicinity. This process involves the formation of copious amounts of highly noxious gas in combination with pure Hot Air®. The reaction also produces a massive population of morons with a temperature nearing absolute zero IQ, and the formation of a slimy substance sometimes known as a Biden-Alzheimers condensate.

It’s time for the annual Earth day

Less “carbon pollution”

is not the solution.

Plant trees and clean up! Don’t call mayday.

We are called to be good stewards of the Earth, and strive to leave it a better place than we entered it.

To do a good cleanup job takes energy. That is true for the whole Eco-system as well as the toilet bowl.

All our energy comes from the Sun in one way or another, except for nuclear energy. If the cosmic radiation changes, the total energy output from the sun changes or our polar orbit changes, all of these factors will lead to climate change. The normal state for the earth is an ice-age, interrupted by shorter warm periods. We are now at the bog-building phase of an interglacial period, which means, the next phase is another ice-age. This warm period is unique since we are experiencing rapidly increasing levels of CO2. Will that cause a rise in temperatures rendering the earth uninhabitable, or will it prolong the warm period, or -will it hasten the arrival of the next ice-age?

The political class has made the decision increasing CO2 is bad, leading to thermal runaway and they base this on climate models that assumes a logarithmic response of the effect of rising CO2 levels, coupled with a gain, since absolute humidity also rises with temperature, and since water vapor is a much stronger greenhouse gas than CO2, there must be a strong gain in the system. In so doing they are the true Climate Change Deniers, since they deny the strong negative feedback from changing clouds and thunderstorms.

There is a group of people that deny Climate Change has anything to do with human activity, and all that happens is what has always been: Climate changes over time. This too is too simplistic.

The third group, Climate Change Scientists, try to observe what is really going on apart from models, to get a grip on which way Climate is changing. We now have enough data that a scientific approach can be taken by looking at data.

1. The Antarctic ice-sheet is at new record levels for this time of the year, 28th 2015 Daily Record for the Antarctic – 1.8 million square kilometers above the 1981-2010 mean.

2. The arctic ice-mass is no longer shrinking, but stabilizing.

The trend line has been broken since 2011, and ice mass is increasing again (for now). Ice mass is a lagging indicator, so a better concurrent indicator is point 4.

3. The Greenland ice-mass has stopped shrinking, and is now increasing.

This chart needs some explanation. The total ice mass of Greenland is about 2.85 million Gt. The changes so far this season is an accumulation of about 500 Gt. This will partially melt away during summer, and some ice will be lost through calving, so the net loss of ice has been about 200 Gt per year, at which rate all the ice might be lost in 14250 years. 2014 was the first year in a long time Greenland added ice, and the 2015 season is following the same pattern.

4. The Arctic snow-cap maximum is again increasing, and has been increasing since 1990.

But that is not really the story. The snow-cap is increasing earlier. Here is the November snow-cap:

We can also see the snow is melting faster and faster. Why is that. Which brings us to point

5. The changing albedo of the ice and snow cap.

6. Ten years since a major hurricane hits the Eastern United States, a new record.

7. Global hurricane, typhoon, tropical cyclone activity is trending down.

8. Global droughts are diminishing.

As we can see droughts are not increasing, there is a slight decrease in worldwide droughts over time.

Referring to a new international treaty environmentalists hope will be adopted at the Paris climate change conference later this year, she added: “This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model for the first time in human history.”

President Obama announced Jan 25 that his administration plans to lock up the oil-rich 1.5 million acre Arctic National Wildlife Refuge coastal plain and offshore areas in Alaska from oil and gas exploration.

China, the powerhouse of the world. Check the CO2 statistics.

The IMF numbers show China on track to produce $17.6 trillion worth of goods and services compared to the U.S.’s slated $17.4 trillion, based on a well-established and widely used economic measure known as purchasing-power parity (or PPP).
Meanwhile, in Lima, Peru, China offered new details on its commitment to rein in greenhouse gases and called on rich nations to speed up delivery of the $100 billion in annual climate-related aid they’ve promised by 2020. Su Wei, China’s lead climate negotiator, coupled his comments on China’s commitment with a call to accelerate funding for climate aid, shifting the pressure to industrialized nations, led by the U.S. and European Union, to do their part toward reaching an agreement next year. The “$10 billion is just one 10th of that objective,” and “we do not have any clear road map of meeting that target for 2020,” Su said. Rich nations’ pledges of almost $10 billion to a green fund to help poor nations cope with global warming are “far from adequate,” particularly Australia’s lack of a donation, the head of China’s delegation at U.N. climate talks said on Thursday. Su Wei also urged all rich nations to deepen their planned cuts in greenhouse gas emissions, signaling that a joint Chinese-U.S. announcement of greenhouse gas curbs last month does not mean an end to deep differences on climate policy. Granted, rich nations produce more CO2 than poor nations, so how does China stack up in CO2 emissions?
Here are the stats for 2013:
China         10 GT of CO2 28% of world total
U.S.A 5                     14%
E.U. 3.6                   10%
India            2.5 7%
Russia        2                         5%
Rest of world 13 GT 46% of world total.
By this account China is already a rich country and should be the first to share.
But it is getting worse.

Barack Obama and the Chinese negotiator agreed on a deal that U.S. would reduce its greenhouse gases by 24 to 28% by the year 2025 and China promised to try to halt its scheduled growth by the year 2030. E.U. have legislated similar reductions as the U.S.
So by 2030 we can look forward to a world CO2 emission balance like this:
China               30 GT of CO2, 45% of world total
U.S.A.        4    7%
E.U    3                         5%
India    7.5                    11%
Russia              2                          3%
Rest of world 18                        28 % of world total.
This is what Barack Obama heralded as a major breakthrough!
He will allow China to become six times as powerful as the U.S.A in the next 15 years.
And we will help them by being part in transferring 100 Billion to developing countries (of which China is one) in the next 10 years.
If you doubt the numbers, consider this: China already consumes 45% of the world’s coal mining, mostly low grade, polluting lignite. The air quality in Beijing is so poor that a day that is merely unhealthy by our standards is considered a good day.
