1 Corinthians 4. The Apostle Paul reminded the Corinthians they are servants of Christ, stewards of the mysteries of God and fools for Christ’s Sake. Then Paul urged them to imitate him and not be arrogant. “For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”
Job 27.Through it all Job maintained his integrity.
Job 28. Job continued with a discourse on wisdom.
Job 29. Job gave his best defense and recalled the good old days when God was with him.
1 Corinthians 3.The Apostle Paul warned the Corinthians that sectarianism is carnal, we are all servants of the Lord Jesus Christ. One is planting, one is watering, but God gives the increase. Paul gave them another warning: Avoid worldly wisdom, “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.”
Job 24. Job complained of the violence on earth.

Job 26. Job replied and spoke of man’s frailty and God’s majesty.
1 Corinthians 2. The Apostle Paul proclaimed Christ crucified, relying only on God’s power. This is God’s secret wisdom, spiritual wisdom, and in applying this “we have the mind of Christ“.
Job 22. Eliphaz the Temanite accused Job of wickedness.
Job 23. Job proclaimed God’s righteous judgments. Rejoice in the Lord. “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.“
1 Corinthians 1 begins with greetings and thanksgiving from the Apostle Paul, who admonished the Corinthians their only leader is Christ and sectarianism is Sin, for Christ is the power and wisdom of God. The foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, so glory only in the Lord.
Job 20. Zophar gave a sermon with regard to the wicked man.
Job 21. In reply Job gave a discourse on the wicked.
1 Corinthians 16. The Apostle Paul urged the believers to take up collections for the saints in Jerusalem. He mentioned personal plans, gave final exhortations, final greetings and finally bid farewell.
Isaiah 2. The famous chapter containing “beating swords into plowshares” “study war no more” and the Day of the LORD is introduced.
In Isaiah 3 the prophet proclaimed judgment on Jerusalem and Judah.
Psalm 70, of David, a short, urgent petition for deliverance, full of praise.
1 Corinthians 15:35-58. In this great resurrection chapter the Apostle Paul spoke of the risen Christ: the glorious body and our final victory!
Isaiah 1. No other book of the Bible has so many fulfilled prophecies. Read it and marvel! Use the lists for future reference.

Psalm 69, of David. When you get that sinking feeling, this Psalm lifts you back up, “I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.”
1 Corinthians 14. The Apostle Paul reminded the Corinthians to follow love and desire the gift of prophecy. Speaking in tongues on the other hand has to be interpreted and is a sign to unbelievers. Keep order in the Church!
Song of Solomon 6. The bridegroom and friends praise the Shulamite’s beauty.
Song of Solomon 7 is full of expressions of praise.
Song of Solomon 8. And so is love renewed in Lebanon. This shows that God’s love is complete, and does indeed include the sensual. This too is the gift of God.
1 Corinthians 13, the Greatest Gift, the most quoted passages in the Bible after John 3:16, and for good reasons: “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” My Christianity teacher in public school in Sweden a long time ago also quoted nearly every class: “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” He did it in Swedish of course. When I became a believer at the age of 31 I finally understood what he was trying to convey.
Song of Solomon 3, a Troubled Night, the Coming of Solomon.
Song of Solomon 4. The bridegroom praises the bride.
Song of Solomon 5. The Shulamite’s troubled evening.
1 Corinthians 12. The Apostle Paul instructed the Corinthians there are different spiritual gifts, but the same God works in all of them. There is unity in diversity, and yet all Christians are one body in Christ, one body with many parts and all are important for “by one spirit are we all baptized into one body” so now Paul says “ye are the body of Christ.” As to gifts there is a more excellent way, which will be revealed in the next chapter.
Song of Solomon 1. The Song of Songs stands unique in the Bible. It has no obvious religious content, just beautiful poetry. But it fits with the theme of love permeating the Bible. It starts with the Banquet.
