Tornadoes and hurricanes at a low thanks to increased CO2 levels? A Limerick.

Tornadoes and hurricanes: At a new low (1) (2)

The CO2 calms them, as far as we know (3)

So the crop yields increase (4)

More CO2, please, let the trees and plants grow. (6)

(1)    Total tornado activity in 2012 is way below normal, See fig.

(2)    The number of days since a major hurricane hit the U.S. mainland is at a record, 2523 days (and counting) since hurricane Wilma hit the Gulf Coast in 2005. This is the longest stretch since hurricane tracking begun.

(3)    This point is controversial. According to IPCC there is a positive feedback between greenhouse gases and temperature increase. This assumption is proven false by the absence of global temperature increase since 2001.

The opposite argument is true. There is a strong negative feedback between increasing CO2 and temperature, so the net effect is that the tropic experience almost no temperature increase, the Northern Hemisphere an increase of 0.4 degrees, and the Southern Hemisphere an increase of about 0.2 degree Celsius for a doubling of the CO2 concentration. This increase is concentrated mostly around the poles causing less of a temperature gradient between the poles and the equator, which give the storms less energy to sustain them.

Total hurricane energy is on a decline since the active years 2005-2006. 2012 is no exception with only one major hurricane (for 12 hours) way out in the Atlantic.

(4)     There is a strong correlation between CO2 concentration and crop yields, with a 30 to 70 % increase for a doubling of CO2.

(5)    Assuming a 50% average increase in yield the world can feed two billion more mouths with a doubling in CO2.

(6)    In addition, when CO2 increases the plants use photosynthesis more efficiently, needing less water to produce a crop making even arid areas able to yield a crop.

(5)    The Arabian Sea has been renamed “The Sea of the Martyrs” after the body of Osama Bin Laden was dumped.

(6)    The reference to Ramah is found in Jeremiah 31:15 (KJV) Thus saith the Lord; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not. 

This reference is quoted by St Matthew when Herod orders the killing of all male children under the age of two in the vicinity of Bethlehem.

Jeremiah 31 is a most fascinating chapter where Jeremiah has a dream about the Israelites gathering back to the Promised Land after the exile. Before and after verse 15 there are abundant promises of blessings, and in the middle is this verse, seemingly unconnected. My take on this is there are two restorations of Israel, one before the birth of Jesus Christ and one after. The latter one occurred in 1948.

The dream ends with this prophetic verse:  Jeremiah 31:22 (KJV) How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the Lord hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.

 

The true face of racism: The Democrat Party. A Limerick.

Sarah Palin was commenting to Neil Cavuto of Fox News in regard to a campaign button at the Democratic Convention:

“I thought it was a shame though to see the button that has been advertised, in fact I think it’s on the front page of Drudge today where it says “Once you vote black, you never go back.” A racist comment like that that’s being celebrated at the DNC this weekend and I’m sure that this is going to be the takeaway from this interview – and it will be, Neil, something people will condemn me for even bringing it up – but doggone it, it’s there in the Democrat National Convention.

How racist can that be?  People need to open their eyes, they need to crunch the numbers, they need to do the math, and they need to do what’s right for their kids.”

“Once you vote black, you will never go back.”

The Democrats show they are one racist pack.

Obama’s plan: It works! A Limerick.

“We tried our plan: It’s No child left a dime;

Sold weapons to terrorists; increasing crime.

We squandered some trillions

And rules costing billions,

For I am a part of Chicago’s worst slime.”

Discussing his economic policies at a fundraiser in Oakland, California, July 23, President Obama, told supporters that “we tried our plan — and it worked.”

“We tried that and it didn’t work,” Obama said of Mitt Romney’s proposed tax cuts and spending cuts, which he dismissed as a Bush-style “top down” economic policy. “Just like we’ve tried their plan, we tried our plan — and it worked,” he added later in the speech. “That’s the difference. That’s the choice in this election. That’s why I’m running for a second term.”

Obama made these comments in Oakland, where the unemployment rate was 13.7 percent in May 2012. The national unemployment rate is 8.2 percent — up from 8.1 percent in May — for the second straight month.

Sarah Palin on Death Panel and the stimulus bill. A Limerick.

Obama’s health care speech Jun 20 10:

First, I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits — either now or in the future. (Applause.) I will not sign it if it adds one dime to the deficit, now or in the future, period. And to prove that I’m serious, there will be a provision in this plan that requires us to come forward with more spending cuts if the savings we promised don’t materialize.

 H.R. 1 (more commonly known as the Recovery and Reinvestment Act, even more commonly known as the Stimulus Bill) allocated $1.1 billion (a pretty good slush fund, we must be a rich country) to fund the Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research.

On health care bill mentioned the two words:  “Death Panel”.

But boy, was she wrong,

I’ll confirm with a song:

The stimulus bill authorized the death panel.

And because of that the term Death Panel was named lie of the year, not because it was untrue, but it was not part of the health care bill, but did already exist as part of the stimulus bill.

o.k. I know the first time death panel appeared was on Sarah’s Facebook. But this rhymes.
