I hate to even comment on such drivel but just in case someone reads this. It is not nice to lie. O.k. I’ll bite.
Of course CIA called in to rescue the people in the “counsulate”. They rescued 30 people from there and transferred them to the CIA “annex”.
This is not the argument. What was lacking was the air backup. You do not send in a rescue team without backup. The navy seals expected air backup.
How do I know? According to early reports they had trained a laser on the enemy mortar position. You do not do that unless you expect backup. You reveal your own position when you send the laser beam. So they expected backup and never got it.
The CIA tried to rescue. The State dept. sent in a team from Tripoli, but where was the backup?
Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta said they decided not to send any help since the situation was confusing.
Obama said he ordered all necessary and proper assistance.
Somebody is lying big time.
