The great physicist Stephen Hawking turned 70 the other day. He has had Lou Gehrigs disease for over forty years and is now the longest survivor of that disease in the world. He was interviewed before his birthday and was asked if there were any mysteris left in the universe that was above his intellect. His answer was: “Women. They are a complete mystery to me.”

ith his new book “The Grand Design,” retired Cambridge physicist Stephen Hawking appears to have further bolstered his reputation as a latter-day Charles Darwin. He goes on to explain that the universe created itself from nothing.
