Continuing with the Acts of the Apostles and three  chapters in 2 Samuel.

May 4: Acts 15, 2 Samuel 3, 2 Samuel 4, 2 Samuel 5 (click on the chapter to begin reading)

Acts 15. Much ado about circumcision. Then came the Council at Jerusalem, which led to  the Jerusalem decree. (in short: Abstain from fornication and from blood). Barnabas and Paul argue about Mark, so they split up, and Paul took Silas and embarked on the second missionary journey.

2 Samuel 3 starts out with a genealogy of David’s Sons. Then Abner joined forces with David, Joab murdered Abner, and finally it records how David mourned Abner.

2 Samuel 4 records how Saul’s son Ishbosheth was Murdered.

2 Samuel 5. David Reigned over all Israel and captured Jerusalem. After Jerusalem is established as the City of David The Philistines are defeated.
