Obama’s first executive order. A Limerick.

I can‘t spend all of my time with my birth certificate plastered on my forehead.”

Said Barack Obama to NBC’s Brian Williams, Sep 2010.

How about producing the real birth certificate? On your first day in office, after the inaugural address but before all the parties you went and rescinded one executive order and replaced it with another. What was so urgent?

Obama’s first act as President EXECUTIVE ORDER 13489 banning release of any of his records.

PRESIDENTIAL RECORDS By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, and in order to establish policies and procedures governing the assertion of executive privilege by incumbent and former Presidents in connection with the release of Presidential records by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) pursuant to the Presidential Records Act of 1978, it is hereby ordered as follows: Section 1. Definitions. (….) Sec. 2. Notice of Intent to Disclose Presidential Records. (a) When the Archivist provides notice to the incumbent and former Presidents of his intent to disclose Presidential records pursuant to section 1270.46 of the NARA regulations, the Archivist, using any guidelines provided by the incumbent and former Presidents, shall identify any specific materials, the disclosure of which he believes may raise a substantial question of executive privilege. However, nothing in this order is intended to affect the right of the incumbent or former Presidents to invoke executive privilege with respect to materials not identified by the Archivist. Copies of the notice for the incumbent President shall be delivered to the President (through the Counsel to the President) and the Attorney General (through the Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Legal Counsel). The copy of the notice for the former President shall be delivered to the former President or his designated representative. (b) Upon the passage of 30 days after receipt by the incumbent and former Presidents of a notice of intent to disclose Presidential records, the Archivist may disclose the records covered by the notice, unless during that time period the Archivist has received a claim of executive privilege by the incumbent or former President or the Archivist has been instructed by the incumbent President or his designee to extend the time period for a time certain and with reason for the extension of time provided in the notice. If a shorter period of time is required under the circumstances set forth in section 1270.44 of the NARA regulations, the Archivist shall so indicate in the notice.

In short:  All records of previous and sitting presidents are fully transparent unless the president declares executive privilege. Guess what? He did. So much for transparency.

Which leads to the Limerick:

Certificate, birth:” I’ve done all that I can.”

Obama! Own up and behave like a man!

Your transparency sucks.

 What’s the cost? Fifteen bucks.

Instead you invoked an executive ban.

Nancy Pelosi became speaker of the house in Jan 2007. What power does she have anyhow?

Let us take a look at the U.S. Constitution:

Section 7 – Revenue Bills, Legislative Process, Presidential Veto All bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills. Section 8 – Powers of Congress The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;

How has our economy been performing since she took the reins of the purse strings? There is an interesting article by Mark Trumbull, Staff writer of The Christian Science Monitor / February 21, 2007 : Despite the ongoing costs of US military campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan, the outlook for the federal budget has grown substantially brighter. Tax revenues are rising much faster than spending, according to Treasury Department numbers released last week. The recent trend is strong enough that, were it to continue, the budget could move into surplus in barely a year, one economist calculates. Already, the federal deficit is shrinking toward about half the size that it has averaged since 1970, when analyzed as a percentage of gross domestic product. The shift reflects a strong economy, with higher incomes and corporate profits generating a bigger flow of tax revenue. In turn, the Treasury’s progress could help the economy by buoying investor confidence in the nation’s fiscal position. Some experts say the budget could achieve balance in the short run of the next few years. In unveiling its proposed budget this month, the Bush administration forecast black ink on the federal ledger in 2012. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO), in its recent annual outlook, also shows a surplus for that year. So, after three and a half year of Nancy Pelosi, how are we doing? I can only say it has gone from good to bad to verse:

Since Nancy Pelosi took over the gavel 

Was our economy quick to unravel.

 She is more than bad,

The worst that we had.

We finally stopped contemplating our navel.

Since Nancy Pelosi took over as speaker

Our job situation has gotten much weaker

 All jobs that are lost

Since she got the post

And as for advise, shame to all who still seek her.

The Chinese exploiters a life-line did feed her

Our debt load increased

Four trillions at least

We all must this fall go and vote to unseat her

For Nancy Pelosi, known Tea Party hater

Gets scared when the grandmothers start to berate her

It does go to show

That she doesn’t know

The Tea Party is a great hate dissipater.

U.S taxpayers paid for backing Kenya’s new constitution. A Limerick.

Last week, in response to inquiries from Reps. Chris Smith, R-N.J., Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla., and Darrell Issa, R-Calif., the U.S. Agency for International Development, or USAID, admitted to spending more than $23 million of U.S. taxpayer money to influence voters in Kenya to pass the highly contentious constitution.

Here comes the Limerick.

Obama has paid for a new constitution.

Not ours, but Kenya’s, sort of restitution.

It features abortions,

Sharia distortions.

Isn’t it treason, or just my confusion?

A Limerick on freedom, Tea Party, enterprise, prayer and our Constitution.

It seems that this country is coming to pieces

On Tea Party Movement the left hate releases.

We’re going to pot!

Our economy shot.

Obama loves enterprise less than dogs’ feces.

That was the Limerick that came to me when I read the blogs on the financial side. In the evening my Wife and  I went to a prayer meeting where we prayed for our country and its leaders, even down to Obama’s children that they could go to Bible School and familiarize themselves with the old spirituals. In that day they understood that their real home was not USA, and not Africa. No, their real home was in heaven. We also prayed that our constitution would survive the assaults. Again I realized  the battle is not economical  and not political, but intensely spiritual.

Here is the modified limerick:

It seems that our country is going to pieces

On our Constitution the left hate releases.

 Our freedom gets lost,

 We must pray at all cost!

Obama loves liberty less than dogs’ feces.
