December 10: Reading the Holy Bible in a year.

Revelation 2:12-29 continues the message to the seven churches, church three and four: Pergamos, a church that looked good but compromised itself, and the church of Thyatira, a corrupted church, but with hope of repentance. These can be seen as seven historical churches, which they were, but also as seven types of churches as they exist today and through history. They can also be taken as seven states of the individual believer. Whichever way you take it, there is something in it for every believer, even today.

Habakkuk 1 begins with the prophet’s first complaint and the LORD’s reply. After that the prophet poured out his second complaint.

Habakkuk 2. The LORD answered the prophet to his second complaint. It contains this gem, just as valid today as it was then: “The just shall live by his faith“.  On the other hand God promised more woes to the wicked.

Revelation 2:1-11 begins the message to the seven churches. The first two are: Ephesus, the church that lost its first love; Smyrna, the church that stood firm even when it was persecuted;  These can be seen as seven historical churches, which they were, but also as seven types of churches as they exist today and through history. They can also be taken as seven states of the individual believer. Whichever way you take it, there is even today something in it for every believer.

Proverbs 26 is a collection of more proverbs of Solomon collected after his death during the reign of Hezekiah.

Psalm 145, a Psalm of Praise, of David. In an acrostic fashion David praised God for his fame, glory and for His goodness; for his kingdom and His providence, and most of all for his saving mercy.

Psalm 146 is the first of the five final songs in the Book of Psalms, known as the Hallelujah Psalms. This one gives praise to the Lord for creation, for what He is doing and will do forever.

Revelation 1. The final book of the Bible begins with an introduction and promises a blessing to all who read it and take it to heart. It sends a greeting to the seven Churches followed by the most wonderful vision of the Son of Man.

Nahum 3. The prophet Nahum ended with a “woe to Nineveh.”

December 31, read through the Holy Bible in a year.

Revelation 22 begins with the Angel showing the Apostle John the River of Life, the time is near, Jesus is coming soon and He testifies to the Churches, don’t add to or take away from God’s word. Jesus is coming Quickly, Amen!

Proverbs 31. The sayings of King Lemuel. The book of Proverbs ends up with “The Wife of Noble Character”, and every day I thank the Lord for my wife of 52 years. Lives would have been quite different (or not existed at all) if God had not brought us together.

Psalm 150. Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD!

Revelation 21. The apostle John saw in a vision how all things are made new, the New Jerusalem was before his eyes and the glory of the New Jerusalem was on full display. there was no temple in it, all glory goes to the Lamb, the Alpha and Omega!

Malachi 4 is all about the great and dreadful day of the Lord, but before that day God will send His messenger Elijah.

Revelation 20 is full of action: Satan will be bound for 1,000 Years and the saints will reign with Christ for the same length of time. Then there will be a satanic rebellion which will be crushed, and after that comes the Great White Throne Judgment.

Malachi 3. The LORD promised to send His messenger before His coming: “But who can endure the day of his coming“,”For He is like a refiners fire.” So return to God instead of robbing God, but the people complained. God assured them there is everything to gain to serve Him.

Revelation 19. Hallelujah! While the world is quite upset at the demise of Babylon, (the failure of Global Governance), heaven is full of songs, jubilation and worship. Then John saw Christ on a White Horse,  and the beast and his armies were defeated. On Christ’s robe is written “King of Kings, and Lord of Lords“.

Malachi 2 tells of corrupt priests and the treachery of infidelity.

Revelation 18:21-24. The last four verses of this chapter tells of the finality of the fall of Babylon the great and the one world order. The important thing to remember is that the Holy Bible is one consistent book, God is in control and gives the victory through Jesus Christ. We will not grasp it all, for if we did, we would try to save the world all by ourselves without God, (and fail miserably, as the Old Testament proves over and over again).

Malachi 1. God loves Israel, but Israel responded with insincere and polluted offerings.

Revelation 18:1-20. This chapter is so full of Old Testament prophecy that it has been divided into two parts. It tells of the fall of Babylon the great, the one world political system, and the world mourns the fall of Babylon. The important thing to remember is that the Holy Bible is one consistent book, God is in control and gives the victory through Jesus Christ. We will not grasp it all, for if we did, we would try to save the world all by ourselves without God, (and fail miserably, as the Old Testament proves over and over again).

Proverbs 30. The sayings of Agur. Solomon wasn’t the only man with wisdom and these sayings made it into the canonical scripture. Two examples: “give me neither poverty nor riches” and “The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give.”

Revelation 17. So begins the telling of the fall of Babylon. It is not Rome, nor is it Roman Catholicism. In my opinion it is the coalition of communism, socialism, Islam and social justice Christianity in the form of Globalism and implementing Global Governance. This is represented by the scarlet woman and the scarlet basket. The meaning of the woman and the basket is then explained in prophecy. (Feel free to interpret the prophesies otherwise).

Zechariah 14 is the great chapter of the second coming of Christ, here presented as the Day of the LORD, declared HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD.
