Verse 76 of the Obama Impeachment song. Taliban as important partner.

According to Pakistani Today:

US is no longer conducting counter-terrorism operations against the Taliban in Afghanistan because it views the group as an important partner in its efforts for restoring peace in the war-ravaged country, US Department of Defence said.

“What we’re not doing (is) counter-terrorism operations against the Taliban,” Pentagon spokesman Navy Captain Jeff Davis told a Wednesday evening news briefing in Washington.

“We actually view the Taliban as being an important partner in a peaceful Afghan-led reconciliation process. We are not actively targeting the Taliban,” he added.

Meanwhile,  six NATO service members were killed Monday in a motorcycle bomb attack in Bagram, Afghanistan, all American, U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter said.

A suicide bomber on a motorbike carried out the attack on a joint patrol of Afghan and coalition forces at about 1:30 p.m. in the Bajawri area of Bagram district, said Waheed Sediqi, a spokesman for the governor of Parwan province.

This brings us to verse 76 of the Obama Impeachment song (as if sung by President Barack Hussein Obama to the tune of “Please release me, let me go”)

Talibans are getting hot:

My partners, they have upped the pot.

Six men killed, I say: So what?

A traitor I am, don’t give a squat!
