  Time has passed. Daniel is by now about 80 years old.

The three prayers were instituted by the Patriarchs. Abraham instituted the morning (Shacharit) prayer; Isaac first prayed the afternoon (Minchah) service; and Jacob was the first to say the evening (Maariv) prayers.
