In between the Apostle Paul’s first and second letter to the Corinthians we read one Psalm and two chapters in second Chronicles.

June 29: Psalm 45, 2 Chronicles 31, 2 Chronicles 32 (click on the chapter to begin reading)

Psalm 45, of the Sons of Korah, a Wedding Song. C.S. Lewis saw this psalm pointing to Christmas: “The birth of Christ is the arrival of the great warrior and the great king. Also of the Lover, the Bridegroom, whose beauty surpasses that of man. But not only the Bridegroom as the lover, the desired; the Bridegroom also who makes fruitful, the Father of children still to be begotten and born.” (C.S. Lewis, cited in Willem VanGemeren)

2 Chronicles 31 tells of the Reforms of Hezekiah. “He did it with all his heart, and prospered.

2 Chronicles 32. Sennacherib boasted against the LORD but was  defeated and died. Hezekiah humbled himself,so the LORD sent an angel to deliver Judah. Hezekiah grew in wealth and honor, but he too finally died.

Today, we read the last chapter in the Apostle Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians and two chapters in second Chronicles.

June 28: 1 Corinthians 16, 2 Chronicles 29, 2 Chronicles 30 (click on the chapter to begin reading)

1 Corinthians 16. The Apostle Paul urged the believers to take up collections for the saints in Jerusalem. He mentioned personal plans, gave final exhortations, final greetings and farewell.

2 Chronicles 29. Hezekiah became king of Judah, he cleansed the Temple and restored temple worship.

2 Chronicles 30, Hezekiah celebrated the Passover and there was great joy in Jerusalem.

The emancipation memorial and the MLK memorial funding sources. A Limerick.

One statue that stands in D.C.

was paid for by slaves just set free.

MLK’s is Chinese

In pink granite, you see

was outsourced by our bourgeoisie.

The Freeman’s statue of emancipation was paid for entirely by freed slaves, but the committee to select the sculptor and motive was composed of only white men. The model though was a freed slave, and in my opinion depicts the moment his chains were broken, and he looks up to heaven, giving thanks.

The statue of Martin  Luther King Jr. on the other hand is much more controversial. The sculptor is Chinese, it is made in China using pink Chinese granite. His biggest claim to fame was that he had made a statue of Mao Ze Dong. Why use Chinese pink granite for an African American? And why does he look like an overweight Chinese half emerging out of the rock? There were more than one African American sculptor that vied for the honor of a life-time to make the MLK memorial. But no, the selection committee outsourced it to China.

Be that as it may, the donor board looks like corporate America.

Notably absent is the Chinese Communist Party among the donors, they put up at least 10 million dollars, and the erection and preparing of the ground surrounding it was entirely done by Chinese “volunteers” coming from China, doing their work and going back.

Today, we read one chapter in the Apostle Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians and two chapters in second Chronicles.

June 27: 1 Corinthians 15, 2 Chronicles 27, 2 Chronicles 28 (click on the chapter to begin reading)

1 Corinthians 15. In this great resurrection chapter the Apostle Paul spoke of the risen Christ: Faith’s reality, the risen Christ: Our hope, the last enemy destroyed, the error of denying the resurrection, the glorious body and our final victory!

2 Chronicles 27. Jotham, king of Judah followed God, became mighty, reigned sixteen years and died.

2 Chronicles 28. Ahaz, king of Judah did not follow God, was defeated by Syria and Israel. Israel returned the captives taken. After Ahaz committed apostasy, he shut down the temple and died.

Want to save lives? Ten countries that give HydroxyCloroQuine to their COVID-19 patients have less than one third of the death rate compared to the rest of the world.

There are at least ten countries that prescribe HydroxyCloroQuine, mostly in combination with Zinc and an antibiotic, as soon as COVID symptoms occur. When the illness has progressed to the point of autoimmune overreaction and the oxygen exchange is to the point of collapse it is too late and may even aggravate the situation.

How are these countries faring in the Corona-virus fight, compared to the rest of the world?

For the world as a whole, the death rate from the Corona-virus as of June 25 is 5.06% of diagnosed cases. and recovered cases versus deaths is 10.74 recorded recoveries for every death.

For the United States the death rate from the Corona-virus as of June 25 is 5.00% of diagnosed cases. and recovered cases versus deaths is 8.37 recorded recoveries for every death. or about the same as for the world as a whole.

Taking the average, adjusted for the number of positive cases, the average adjusted death rate for countries, where people are taking HCQ + Zinc as soon as they are diagnosed positive, is 1.49%.

This means that the risk of death is reduced by a factor of 3.4 if HZQ + Zinc is taken as early as possible after a positive diagnosis for corona-virus!

Recovered cases versus deaths is an indicator of how fast patients recover after taking HCQ. Taking the average recovery ratio over the number of cases, gives the median recovery ratio, of 54.3, compared to the recovery rate for the rest of the world of 10.74, an improvement of 5.1 times as many recorded recoveries for every death. This is an indicator of how fast people recover, but is a very lagging indicator, since many countries do not report recovered cases in a timely manner. If they did, both the numbers for the ten countries, and for the world as a whole would look better, but it is the best measurement we have for now.

The total positive cases for these ten countries are over one million, or about 10.3% of all positive tests so far, far more than any double blind controlled study could ever produce, and indicates that if implemented all across U.S. (and the world as a whole) the death rate from now on would be less than a third of what we are now experiencing. In addition hospitalizations would be greatly reduced.

WHO paused a double blind study out of an “abundance of caution”.

HCQ has been taken by over one million patients testing positive for the corona-virus as soon as symptoms did arise or shortly thereafter. We do not need a double blind control study, the results speak for themselves.

Is it because it has been promoted by President Trump, and some would rather die than get cured because of that?

Is HCQ too cheap to promote? It is totally generic, no pharmaceutical company stands to gain from producing it, so there will be no study made by them. Any study will have to come from government.

Is it too dangerous? No, it is approved and has been given as a prevention for malaria for over 50 years, it has been approved for combating Lupus for over 20 years, and can be given to pregnant women and nursing mothers with no restrictions. There is a small number of cases involving heart arrhythmia, but  these patients can be monitored with an ECG, and if the condition is severe they can be advised not to take the medication.

I for one want to save lives.

Appendix: The data is used from https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

The death rate from all causes doubles for every 8 years as you age or about 9% per year. The death rate from Corona-virus is remarkably the same as the death rate from all causes, adjusted for age. The world median age is 30.4 years. So let the world death rate be the norm and adjust for the median age for the 10 countries.

World death rate as of June 25 is 5.06% of diagnosed cases. and recovered cases versus deaths is 10.74

Compare this with 10 countries that use HCQ for most patients as soon as they test positive for the corona virus.

Turkey: Death rate 2.60%, median age 30.9, adjusted death rate 2.48%, recovered cases versus deaths  30.8, total cases 193.115

South Korea: Death rate 2.24%, median age 30.9, adjusted death rate 2.15% recovered cases versus deaths  38.9, total cases 12,563

Malaysia: Death rate 1.41%, median age 28.5, adjusted death rate 1.69% recovered cases versus deaths  68.3, total cases 8,600

Senegal: Death rate 1.50%, median age 18.8, adjusted death rate 4.04%, recovered cases versus deaths  44.2, total cases 6,233

Costa Rica: Death rate 0.45%, median age 31.3, adjusted death rate 0.43%, recovered cases versus deaths 102.2, total cases 2,684

United Arab emirates: Death rate 0.66%, median age 30.9, adjusted death rate  0.63%, recovered cases versus deaths 114.1 , total cases 46,563

Bahrain: Death rate 0.29%, median age 32.3, adjusted death rate 0.25%, recovered cases versus deaths  260.6, total cases 24081

Morocco: Death rate 1.91%, median age 29.3, adjusted death rate 2.08%, recovered cases versus deaths  39.1, total cases 11,338

Russia: Death rate 1.40%, median age 30.9, adjusted death rate 1.34%, recovered cases versus deaths  43.6, total cases 613,994

Qatar: Death rate 0.11%, median age 30.9, but since 88% of the population are migrant workers between 20 and 60, the adjusted death rate is at least 8 times higher, or 0.88 %, and adjusted recovered cases versus deaths  87.9, total cases 91,838

Today, we read one chapter in the Apostle Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians and two chapters in second Chronicles.

June 26: 1 Corinthians 14, 2 Chronicles 25, 2 Chronicles 26 (click on the chapter to begin reading)

1 Corinthians 14. The Apostle Paul reminded the Corinthians to follow love and desire the gift of prophecy. Speaking in tongues on the other hand has to be interpreted and is a sign to unbelievers. Keep order in the Church!

2 Chronicles 25. Amaziah reigned in Judah and went to  war against Edom.  Israel routed Judah and finally Amaziah was killed and buried.

2 Chronicles 26. Uzziah became the next king of Judah, young and successful and made Judah powerful again, but his pride got the best of him and he became a leper, an outcast. Jotham, his son became de facto regent until Uzziah’s death.

June 25: 1 Corinthians 13, 2 Chronicles 21, 2 Chronicles 22, 2 Chronicles 23,            2 Chronicles 24 (click on the chapter to begin reading)

1 Corinthians 13, the Greatest Gift, the most quoted passages in the Bible after John 3:16, and for good reasons: “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” My Christianity teacher in public school in Sweden a long time ago also quoted nearly every class: “ When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” He did it in Swedish of course. When I became a believer at the age of 31 I finally understood what he was trying to convey.

2 Chronicles 21. The reign of Jehoram in Judah.

2 Chronicles 22. The reigns of Ahaziah and Athaliah in Judah.

2 Chronicles 23. Joash was crowned king of Judah and Athaliah was slain.

2 Chronicles 24. Joash repaired the Temple but then committed apostasy and was finally executed.

Lenin still stands in Seattle. Who would ever topple the father of the movement? A Limerick.

Old Lenin stands tall in Seattle.

He is the main source of the battle.

Meanwhile statues come down

of great men of renown.

Bewildered we look, like dumb cattle.

Over the past few weeks, scores of statues of our founding fathers and Generals,  Cristóbal Colón, Junípero Serra , and even the Pioneer and the Pioneer Mother have been toppled by rioters. They will not stop until all historic memorials are demolished, like what happened in the onset of theFrench Revolution, the Russian Revolution or the Chinese Cultural Revolution.

The death toll from the French Revolution was about 40,000, from the Russian Revolution 7 to 12 million, and from the Cultural Revolution up to 20 million, followed by the Great Leap Forward, which heralded in the Great Famine, killing another 30 Million.

These are serious times.

Today, we read one chapter in the Apostle Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians and three chapters in second Chronicles.

June 24: 1 Corinthians 12, 2 Chronicles 18, 2 Chronicles 19, 2 Chronicles 20 (click on the chapter to begin reading)

1 Corinthians 12. The Apostle Paul instructed the Corinthians there are different spiritual gifts, but the same God works in all of them. There is unity in diversity, and yet all Christians are one body in Christ, one body with many parts and all are important for “by one spirit are we all baptized into one body” so now Paul says “ye are the body of Christ.” As to gifts there is a more excellent way, which will be revealed in the next chapter.

2 Chronicles 18. The prophet  Micaiah warned Ahab of Israel, but Ahab listened to false prophets instead.  The result was that Ahab died in battle.

2 Chronicles 19. King Jehoshaphat returned to Jerusalem and instituted a number of reforms.

2 Chronicles 20. Because Jehoshaphat turned to God, Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir were defeated and there was peace until the end of Jehoshaphat’s reign, but he made an alliance with Israel to build trading ships, and they were destroyed.

Today, we read one chapter in the Apostle Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians and three chapters in second Chronicles.

June 23: 1 Corinthians 11, 2 Chronicles 15, 2 Chronicles 16, 2 Chronicles 17 (click on the chapter to begin reading)

1 Corinthians 11. This chapter starts out with a long dissertation ending with “if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.” It continues with desired conduct at the Lord’s Supper and the very institution of the Lord’s Supper. Examine yourself so you may participate in a worthy manner.

2 Chronicles 15. Asa threw out the idols and repaired the altar before the Temple. People from Israel joined, and thanks to following the LORD Judah had peace until the 35th year of Asa’s reign.

2 Chronicles 16. Asa’s made a treaty with Syria. That was a mistake. Hannai’s Message to Asa was that Asa had not relied on the LORD. Four years later Asa died.

2 Chronicles 17. Jehoshaphat reigned in Judah, they took the Book of the Law around the country and taught the people. The fear of the LORD fell on the surrounding countries, so Judah had peace for years.
